Welcome to Ladies of the House! I hope you enjoy your visit...we are a small shop that specializes
in vintage lady head vases from the 1950's and 60's. I have enjoyed collecting these lovely ladies
for almost 11 years now. I remember the first time I saw a lady head vase in my sister's kitchen. She
had found it at a thrift store for less than a dollar. I was fascinated by the fact that this old piece of
pottery still had pearl jewelry on! Like a lot of Rubens head vases, she had paint wear, but I thought
she was beautiful. The next time I went to my sister's she had another pretty lady she had found. I
told her again how neat I thought they were. One day not too long after I went to work and my sister
had been there and left me a present--the 2 lady head vases I had admired in her kitchen! That was
the beginning of my collection and now my home has more than 200 ladies residing on various shelves,
in cabinets and overflowing from curio cabinets. I also collect and sell Cameo Girls Deluxe lady head
vases. I have had an online presence for approx. 5 years now and it has been so much fun meeting
other collectors and learning all about these wonderful ladies!

This picture was taken at the annual Lady Head Vase Convention in Kissimmee, Florida. I am
on the far left. I won an Ardco lady head vase for traveling the farthest to attend the convention!
I am sitting next to Kathy Koch from New York, Yvonne Rae from S. Carolina and Ruth Harris of
Pinckney, Michigan. Yvonne and Ruth both have excellent head vase websites that you can find
listed on my links page.
